6 Most Importance Component Of Computer System
Looking for computer components which are most important in any computer.
The computer or laptop uses mainly 6 electronic components in their system.
I listed them with a brief description of each with their importance to the computer system.
1. CPU
When I talk about the CPU ( Central processing unit ), I talk about the computer's brain. It executes small tasks as well as complex and big tasks of the system.
In one word, it is responsible for all tasks that are executed on the computer.
The CPU controls basic i/o ( input and output ) function also handle arithmetic and logical function.
The CPU understands assembly language, when any program run first it gets converted into assembly language then the CPU executes them.
It has three steps to execute a program
- fetch
- Decode
- Execute
It controls all components of a computer and is also an intermediate between other components.
2. GPU
The GPU ( Graphics processing unit ) is used to display graphics on your monitor.
But the main use of that is to handle most resource-hungry graphics intensive video games and also ultra high definition media playback.
When I talk about big video games then I first think about GPU because it most important for games to run as well as possible on a computer.
It handles lots of 3D visual and high-resolution graphics separately in a computer system. Because of that, I can run HIGH FCP games on your laptop or desktop.
3. Memory
The RAM ( random access memory ) is the fastest volatile memory of the system. This memory can transfer data at a very high speed. Because of that computers can handle more than one program at the same time.
The more ram memory your the system has the more multitasking you can able to do on a computer.
But ram memory is volatile in nature. It stores data inside in till the program is running, when the program is closed the data is also get erased from it.
And some of the data still available inside the ram will delete when you restart your laptop or computer.
Without a ram memory, your computer is not able to run properly, this made it one of the important key components in your system.
4. MOTHERBOARD
The motherboard is like a home of all components that meet and enter connect each other.
Motherboard holed components in their respective sockets.
The motherboard contains USB ports, CPU sockets, ram sockets, GPU, sd card reader sockets, and much more.
The motherboard has different capacities to handle specific hardware.
To check your motherboard simply check your pcs specs in settings.
Eg: some motherboards can handle low powered CPU and some are high-powered.
5. Hard drive
Finally, I talk about the hard drives that everyone knows about. Just like storage in your smartphone, the modern laptop, and desktop computer have a hard drive storage system.
They mainly have two types.
- HDD
- SSD
The HDD ( hard disc drive ) is cheap and able to store lots of data inside in but it is one drawback, it's has a slow data transfer rate as compared to SSD. It also consumes more power and may produce some noise at the time of running.
The SSD ( solid-state drive ) is expensive but has less power consumption and a very high data transfer speed that make your slow computer faster as possible.
6. Display
When I talk about the most important thing in a laptop or desktop the display comes first in your mind because it is a thing that I look at most at the time of operating a computer.
The display comes with different types and resolutions.
Most display in a computer is LCD OR LED. And the most common resolution of the display is 1080p to 2160p.
Without a display monitor, I cannot do tasks on a computer, so it mostly has importance on your pc.
Final thoughts
The computer consists of hundred of components within in but I listed the most important components without those not possible run a pc or laptop.
